Item Description

Wildly colorful pearlescent yellow-green polylithionite plates dramatically cover both sides of the sculptural small cabinet wedge from the famous Type Locality in Greenland, Kangerluarsuk Fjord, in the exotic alkaline Ilmaussaq complex. Polylithionite is a rare Mica Group species. The specimen also hosts pink granular Ussingite on one face and the end. Ussingite is a rare silicate and the fjord is also the Type Locality. Black aegerine is an additional accessory. Polylithionite and Ussingite specimens of this combination quality are VERY RARE from the Type Locality. Ex Matioli Collection.
