Item Description
RARE and surreal hollow polished slabs of polyhedral quartz from Bahia, Brazil. The amazing unusual sharp form, translucent banding and striking white quartz surrounding the voids make for a striking pair. Polyhedral crystals are bounded by several crystallographically equivalent or different faces that grow at different normal growth rates. Exceptional and rare quartz from the Kay Robertson Collection, with no number. Kay assembled a small sub collection of notable agate and quartz specimens. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
