Item Description

Sharp, metallic-silver luster, polysbasite crystals comprise this excellent, old-time thumbnail from the famous mines at Arizpe. Many of the crystals are distinctively hoppered, including the striking 8 mm crystal at the tip of the floater piece. Thin veils of rarely seen, lustrous, light brown, chlorargyrite microcrystals are scattered on both sides of the sculptural specimen. This specimen could easily be around 100 years old. A very rich, highly desirable, showy and rare combination silver ore specimen. Ex Robert Whitmore Collection. Valued $400-500.
