Item Description
Pollucite is a rare Zeolite Group silicate, the cesium analgue of analcime. It is uncommon in large crystals. This fascinating and showy large piece features a large sharp crystal completely cloaked in pastel-colored, faint-pink lepidolite. A dramatically attached, 7.4 cm, spray of lepidolite-coated glassy green tourmaline crystals with additional smaller tourmalines is a super accent and compliment. One of the tourmalines in the spray is terminated, with the other being broken. Removed lepidolite reveals the tip of the pollucite and the base of the tourmaline spray. The back is contacted, but is mostly coated with lepidolite. Rare and excellent in this large combination quality. Ex Herb Obodda dealer stock and valued by Herb at $1500, more than five years ago. It is worth more today, one would think, as the pollucite itself should be considered quite significant. Better in person.
