Item Description

Pollucite is a very rare cesium bearing Zeolite mineral species, and one of the very few facettable Zeolites in the world. Strangely, this mineral is most often found in granitic pegmatites as opposed to Igneous deposits like most other Zeolites like Stilbite and Heulandite. Over the last 20 years, some great gem quality Pollucites have been found in Pakistan and Afghanistan and really did a lot to help bolster the supply of good crystallized Pollucites in the world. This piece is a good sized, lustrous, gemmy to translucent white to colorless partial crystal of Pollucite with well-defined dodecahedral faces on the front, and heavy etching lines on the back. This material is prized for its rarity, and every rare mineral collection needs to have a good Pollucite in them. Ex Herb Obodda specimen, priced at $1,000.
