Item Description
Pollucite is a rare zeolite group species, the cesium analogue of analcime. This is a very large for the locality floater, subhedral, specimen with three very sharp faces. The translucent, colorless crystal has a waxy luster. Complete all-around and nearly pristine, there is only one small bruise at the base of the crystal. It looks like a piece of half melted ice. An excellent, well-crystallized and large size example of the rare species and locale. This is a fairly major crystallized example of the species and such crystals remain uncommon in this size despite another decade of mining here. The pockets are hit only very rarely. Ex Rudy Tschernich Collection.
