Pollucite is one of the few zeolite minerals found most often in pegmatite environments, as opposed to igneous deposits like most other zeolites species. This rare cesium bearing zeolite is also one of the very few facettable zeolites in the world. Some of the finest crystals of Pollucite\ have been found in Afghanistan, and they really did a lot to help bolster the supply of Pollucites in the world. This piece hosts a good sized (6.6 cm!) lustrous, translucent white to colorless trapezohedral crystal of Pollucite with associated with dozens of gemmy green Tourmaline prisms on Albite matrix. This material is prized for its rarity, and every rare mineral collection needs to have a good Pollucite in them. A big showy example of this very hard to find material, and the added green Tourmaline association makes it all the more enticing. Valued $4,000-$5,000.
