Item Description
One would not think to find a rare Zeolite Group species in pegmatites, but a small area in Afghanistan periodically has produced exceptionally sharp examples of the species. Pollucite is a rare zeolite, rich in cesium and is isostructural with Analcime. This is a fairly sharp, trapezohedral crystal with soft luster and frosted/etched faces, but a few contacted areas actually show the water-clear colorless interior. A rare and rather gemmy example of this hard to find material from Afghanistan. Weight is 6.08 grams.
