Item Description

Pollucite is a very rare cesium-bearing zeolite species, but what makes it desirable among gem collectors is that it's one of the few facettable zeolites in the world. Most zeolites are found in basalt deposits (think of Stilbite, Heulandite, etc), but strangely, Pollucite is most often found in granitic pegmatites as opposed to Igneous deposits. Some of the most famous Pollucite gems in the world are those from Oxford County, Maine. The stone has some slight inclusions with a very light golden hue and a "Trillion" cut. This material is prized for its rarity, and all great rare stone collections need to have a good Pollucite in them.
