Polished Variscite slab (unusual intense color)

A striking and gorgeous large polished slab of very sculptural areas of multi-hued green variscite from this well-known Utah locale. The two polished sides look fairly similar on this particular piece so it can display any way. Portions of the translucent slab GLOW with emerald-green color saturation, when backlit. In fact, this is the most intense, finest, deep green color you could want from here and it is much mor esaturated and translucent than one would normally see. From old collection material, this should be valued considerably higher than the average quality of murky green varscite out there, probably around $750-1000. Fine lapidiary material. 71 grams.
