Polished rhodochrosite stalactite slabs from the famous Capillatas Mine of this complexity and quality are seen around still, though the heyday seems past. Most are big. Smaller, collector-sized examples like this in quality are actually very uncommon, indeed. The exterior rind on this exceptional and aesthetic slab is essentially pristine. The pretty, rose-red, banded stalactities are classic. The one clean repair in the middle is barely noticeable. The complexity of the intergrown stalactites is super.
