Polished Rhodochrosite stalactite slices

A beautiful, 2-piece deal of lustrous polished slices through rhodochrosite stalactites from Argentina. This is only place we see these from, for whatever geological reasons! They have wonderful banded hues from light salmon pink all the way to a rich rose-red hue and the smaller piece has a stiking "eye". The translucent slices are complete all the way around and pristine. Both sides are polished. These are truly impressive mineral specimens and were cut from a pocket of stalactites of large size found in 1988-1989.
