Striking, sculptural and beautiful banding on both sides of this impressive large polished rhodochrosite slab from the famous Capillitas Mine. The starkly contrasting cream colored banding separating the rich rose-red from the lighter hues and numerous striking "eyes" really accentuates this excellent specimen. The translucent rhodo GLOWS, when backlit! Fine and classic material from the 1980s finds from the Raul Orellana Collection. 278 grams mass.
