Item Description
Native silver specimens from Butte are rare and highly desirable today, as the precious metal veins were exhausted by the end of the 1800s. This polished slab from the Leonard Mine is extremely rich with pods and veinlets of burnished massive silver in granular quartz matrix. Very rich ore, that is easily over 100 years old. Hefty at 79 grams. Ex Jon Gladwell Wes Parker Collections.
