A stunning stalactite sculpture of dense, polished malachite "eyes" from one of the famous copper mines of the Democratic Republic of Congo. Classic stalactitic form and dramatic concentric color bands on all sides of this striking artwork! Tiny vugs lined with sparkly micro-quartz are a super accent. Displays superbly with no aid, as the base has been sawed. The sawed base reveals the hollow tube in the center, where the copper-rich solutions flowed to form the stalactite. We do not buy many of these, but this was a very choice piece
