Elegant and choice, this polished malachite slab from a compound stalactite is one of the finest we have seen for both color saturation and patterning. Not only is the sculptural quality amazing, but the green banding of the multiple "eyes" is as complex and attractive as you could hope for. A killer! Every one of the intergrown stalactites features a filled-in or hollow tube, where the copper-rich fluids flowed to form the stalactites. The rind is pristine, except for at or near the broken end. We value this highly, as it really is of a quality you cannot find any more and dates back several decades. 79 grams.
