Item Description

A striking, sculptural, polished, stalactitic malachite slab from the famous copper mines of Kolwezi. Two fantastic isolated matrix alien "eyes" (where the precipitating copper-rich fluids flowed) peer out from both sides of the lustrous, dense multi-hued green banding on this impressive piece. Complete all-around. Outstanding malachite from the 1970s to 80s finds. 67 grams mass.
