A fabulously sculptural curved crust of polished malachite eyes from one of the famous copper mines of the Democratic Republic of Congo. This very artistic and colorful piece has simply amazing form and striking concentric color bands forming the numerous "eyes". It looks like a robed alien with a huge eye or mouth on the head and stubby outstretched arms. The eyes on the "robe" really add character. Ex Schlichter Collection.
