Polished Datolite w/ Copper nodule (Nowakowski Coll.)

An outstanding and rare sliced and polished datolite nodule from the Caledonia Mine and the extensive datolite collection of Robert Nowakowski. The interior looks to be brecciated on this fabulous and colorful piece with bright native copper, rust-red copper-included datolite and glassy, colorless datolite. The green epidote in the rind really adds color and balance. Very fine, rare and desirable material with sculptural form.
