Item Description

This old underground and open pit copper mine is well-known today for excellent copper, datolite and silver specimens (MINDAT). This showy and excellent sawed and polished, interestingly divided, translucent, datolite nodule has high luster and a nice porcelaneous texture. The white to gray interiors and especially the rims around the nodules have nifty rust-red fibrous copper inclusions. An uncommon and sculptural datolite style from this locality. 220 grams mass. You could saw two more 5 mm slices of the same size from this nodule. Ex Robert Nowakowski Collection.
