Item Description

Calcite and chlorite are quite rare from this historic mining district in the Erzgebirge. This is an outstanding, showy and rare combination specimen of intergrown, tabular, sharp, lustrous and translucent, two-toned, pokerchip calcite crystals. You can see one small cluster of green, micro chlorite crystals on the front. The back hold a major surprise of two rich crusts of scintillating chlorite crystals. The front is essentially pristine, with only very trivial periphery wear. Ex Miller Calcite Collection # 3498.
