Mineral specimens of ANY species are RARE from this much less well-known large open-pit copper mine in Katanga. An impressive 4.3 cm pocket in large hefty heterogenite matrix is fully lined with scintillating dark green primary malachite blades with gorgeous flashes of gemmy emerald-green color. The banded malachite in the heterogenite matrix adds sculptural pizzazz and color to this very showy two-sided piece. RARE malachite combination material from this obscure mine. In any case, it stands on its own merits regardless, as a pocket of primary malachites of superb quality. Unusual, certainly.
