Plumbogummite (strong color)

Item Description

A good and showy group of botryoidal, strong blue colored Plumbogummite from recent finds at the Yangshuo Mine in China. The largest "ball" measures 5 mm. With strong backlighting, the color really comes through. Choice material for the species and locality and the bit of damage is certainly not detracting from the excellent color and quality. If you flip the piece over, you can see minor greenish-yellow Pyromorphite and white Quartz matrix. This is honestly about as good as it gets for Plumbogummite in terms of color and gemminess, and a cabinet sized display piece like this is becoming very hard to find on the market now, as nothing has come out of this locality for a few years.
