These are some of the most distinctive minerals from any Chinese locality. They're not unique, as Plumbogummite replacing Pyromorphite has been reported from other world localities, but the pieces from Yangshuo are certainly the largest and finest quality examples ever found. This piece is a fantastic miniature sized specimen featuring a layer of beautiful soft blue colored Plumbogummite covering / replacing greenish-yellow, prismatic, hexagonal "hoppered/skeletal Pyromorphite crystals No damage on the top/front of the piece, but it's not complete on the edges where it was separated from the pocket wall. Aa fine quality specimen that would make a great addition to any secondary ore collection or a suite of Chinse minerals. Valued between $3,000-$3,500 retail. Please note, the Plumbogummite specimens that have been on the market for the last few years (often associated with or pseudomorphing after Pyromorphite) have been labeled as coming from the Daoping Mine, but these particular pieces are from Yangshuo.
