Plumbogummite replacing Pyromorphite

An aesthetic and show three-dimensional display specimen of this soon-to-be-iconic material from the Yangshuo Mine in China. Before these specimens were found, Plumbogummite wasn't really seen in fine eye-catching display specimens, but these particular pieces are not only some of the finest examples of the species ever found, they also feature some of the largest Pyromorphite crystals in the world. This piece features brilliant sky blue Plumbogummite which has partially replaced / pseudomorphed large hoppered / skeletal hexagonal crystals of yellow-green Pyromorphite measuring up to 3.5 cm long, on minor matrix. Some contacts keep the piece from being 100% perfect, but it's still a great example of this elusive material, with some of the larger crystals you'll find for the material. I'm told that the part of the mine that produced these specimens is completely mined out, so it's not likely we will see more of them, unless a new discovery is made. A great specimen that would make a wonderful addition to any secondary ore collection or a suite of Chinese minerals. Valued at $4,500.
