Plumbogummite ps Pyromorphite (New Find)

Item Description

Light powder-blue plumbogummite has mostly replaced a large, compound pyromorphite crystal. The small pseudos perched atop the pristine hoppered termination add much character. Nearly all of these pieces have fabulous hoppered and etched terminations and crystal faces. This one is an exception, as the termination is not etched on this fine 360-degree miniature. The attachment point at the base reveals the underlying lemon-yellow pyromorphite. The recent Chinese finds of these striking and colorful plumbogummite pseudomorphs after huge pyromorphite crystals really surprised the mineral world.
