Item Description
Pretty two-toned blue, translucent plumbogummite botryoids are attractively and colorfully mounded atop the milky quartz matrix on this sculptural and showy small cabinet from recent finds at the Yangshuo Mine in China. The spheres reach 6 mm. I like the way the lighter rich sky-blue botryoids are set on top of the darker ones, which adds character. The strong cleft across the piece adds even more character. The interior is pristine on this excellent example. See the recent 2022 Mineralogical Record article on the renamed locale in Vol. 53, No. 6. No new material has com out in a few years.
