Plumbogummite (fine color and quality) with Pyromorphite

Plumbogummite is a secondary lead aluminum hydroxy phosphate mineral, and for many years truly was not considered a collectible display species, and was typically only seen as an accessory species on most specimens, and crystals were often very small. The color typically ranges from yellowish to greenish hue, but when the superb BLUE specimen from the Yangshuo Mine hit the market, they completely redefined Plumbogummite as a species. These soon-to-be classic specimens do not get enough credit for their excellent color and quality. The top pieces from this mine are arguably the best examples of the species ever found, and they're actually display worthy to boot. This small cabinet sized specimen is a wonderful piece of this superb quality material featuring dozens of translucent spherical / botryoidal Plumbogummite "balls" covering most of the display side of the underlying matrix. The color is a vivid blue shade, and it's accented by bright greenish-yellow Pyromorphite underneath along with a bit of white Quartz. Pieces like this are becoming very hard to find on the market now, as nothing has come out of this locality for several years. Valued $950.
