Plumbogummite (fine color and quality)

Plumbogummite has been known since the early 1800s, but truly was not considered a collectible display species, as it was almost always seen as an accessory species on most specimens. Several years ago, superb pieces from the Yangshuo Mine hit the market, and completely redefined Plumbogummite as a species. These soon-to-be classic specimens do not get enough credit for their excellent color and quality. The top pieces from this mine are arguably the best examples of the species ever found. This miniature specimen is a wonderful piece of this superb quality material featuring a coverage of translucent spherical / botryoidal Plumbogummite "balls" and covering the entire display side of the underlying Quartz matrix. The largest Plumbogummite measures 4 mm. The color is a vivid blue throughout. If you look around the edges, you can see some strong yellow Pyromorphite underneath the Plumbogummite. Pieces like this are becoming very hard to find on the market now, as nothing has come out of this locality for a few years.
