Plumbogummite (excellent color and quality)

The soon-to-be classic, beautiful Plumbogummite specimens from Yangshuo do not get enough credit for their excellent color and quality. The best example from this locality are almost certainly the finest pieces of Plumbogummite ever found. This miniature sized specimen is a wonderful piece of this superb quality material featuring spherical / botryoidal Plumbogummite "balls" covering the entire display side of the underlying Quartz matrix. If you backlight the piece. you can see the vivid blue color come through. A tiny bit of yellow Pyromorphite can be seen around the periphery. Pieces with color like this are becoming very hard to find on the market now, as nothing has come out of this locality for years.
From the collection of the well-known mineral dealer Richard ("Rich") A. Kosnar (1946-2007). This was one of the last specimens that Rich added to his collection before he passed away.
