Item Description

The recent discoveries of Plumbogummite from the Yangshuo Mine in China have given collectors some of the finest color examples of the species ever found. Similar pieces were found at places like Roughton Gill in England, but considering that those pieces were mined over 100 years ago, you rarely see them on the market. This specimen features a nice coverage of botryoidal Plumbogummite measuring up to about 8 mm across, which range in color from a silky grey-blue to more of a sky blue hue underneath. Additionally you can see below and / or inside the "balls" that there are some wonderfully contrasting greenish-yellow color crystals of Pyromorphite (the two species are commonly associated). Excellent condition, no real damage, save the periphery where the piece was removed from the pocket wall. We haven't seen any new specimens of this material for a couple years, so if you want to pick up one of these wonderful specimens, don't miss out on this one as they will be hard to find on the market if nothing new is found.
