Item Description

Plattnerite, uncommon Pb oxide, is rare from this obscure Idaho mine and is extremely rare from any of the 11 Idaho localities, that MINDAT lists for the species. The radial growth of the broken and unbroken botryoids is clearly evident in this rich and hefty lead ore specimen (196 grams mass). Not pretty to look it, but a highly significant Idaho rarity.
