Item Description
Sparkly brown Plattnerite nearly totally covers this striking, sculptural 360-degree small cabinet of black Goethite stalactites from this well-known extinct Fe-Zn-Pb mine. Complete all-around, the black goethite is visible in just a few small areas of the piece. The stalactite tips on the top and bottom were all contacted were all contacted with the vug walls, which is certainly acceptable in the context of this piece. Plattnerite, an uncommon Pb-oxide is a member of the Rutile Group. Ex Dr. Vasco Trancoso Collection. The specimen is illustrated in the MINDAT Photo Gallery for the species (Plattnerite) and locale.
