Item Description

An impressive big showy display specimen from the famous Ojuela Mine featuring sparkling dark brown-black crystals of lead oxide Plattnerite, associated and sitting atop white to off-white colored radiating aggregates and "sprays" of Hydrozincite, associated with vitreous silvery colored modified rhombs of Calcite on oxidized matrix. We've photographed the little crystals up close with a Canon MP-E 65 mm macro lens to better illustrate the quality. I think this is the biggest and best piece of this material that we've ever had to offer from this locality, and one of the VERY few we've seen with both Plattnerite and Hydrozincite together on the same specimen. If you collect minerals of this prestigious locality, this is a significant big cabinet sized example that you're not likely to find on the market anywhere else in this size and quality.
Valued $1,500.
