Item Description

Plagionite is an uncommon lead, antimony sulfosalt and this rich, old-time specimen is from the famous Type Locality - the Graf Jost-Christian Mine, Harz Mts., Germany. This ancient antimony mine started around 1700! Lustrous, striated, tabular, metallic-gray, plagionite is present as flatlaying xls of 1mm or so. Comes with an expertly handwritten, faded label from an older collection. The collection this came out of was a museum stash dating to prior to World War I.
