Item Description

A superb older stilbite specimen from this less well-known Washington locale. Fine quality zeolite specimens are uncommon from here. This is a very aesthetic and sculptural cluster of porcelaneous, bright pastel-pink stilbite crystals. The striking 7.5 cm doubly terminated bowtie dominates this fine and pristine 360-degree piece and the jagged sharp multiple terminations on the crystals add real pizzazz. Collected by well-known Pacific Northwest zeolite collector Mike Groben in September, 1972. Ex Joe Lobell Collection of Oklahoma.
