Item Description

This Trap Rock locality is one of the most impressive (and under appreciated) localities in the world. This quarry has produced some amazing specimens in the last 100 years. This specimen features some great pink color Heulandite (especially for New Jersey) which are "dusted" with white Laumontite. The Heulandite crystals are extremely attractive with excellent luster and great form. You don't see many specimens of this material on the market these days, especially with this pink color. A good display specimen from this historic east coast locality. From the collection of Rich Kosnar whose catalog number PG6 is hand-painted on the bottom ("PG" most likely means that the piece came from Rich's mentor and noted New Jersey female collector Pat Gross).
