Item Description

This Trap Rock locality is one of the most impressive (and under appreciated) localities in the world. This quarry has produced some amazing specimens in the last 100 years. This specimen features some very lustrous, soft pink color Heulandite (especially for New Jersey) which are associated with white Laumontite on Quartz matrix. The largest crystal group measures 1.6 cm, and as I mentioned, are extremely attractive with excellent luster and great form. You don't see many specimens of this material on the market these days, especially with this pink color. A good display specimen from this historic east coast locality. From the collection of Rich Kosnar with an older label stating that it was collected in 1936. No damage and very aesthetic.
