Item Description

The famed Jeffrey Mine in Quebec has produced some of the most distinctive and magnificent quality Garnet crystals ever found. You'll find Garnets that range in color from orange to green to colorless, but the beautiful and elusive pink Grossular Garnets from Jeffrey are highly sought after by collectors. This specimen is features very good quality, sharp, lustrous, light-pink color, gemmy, dodecahedral crystals of Grossular which measure up to 5 mm which are associated with minor yellow-green crystals of Vesuvianite on matrix. Considering that this material is no longer being found (the Jeffrey Mine is now completely defunct and will not produce these specimens again), the value will continue to increase for these specimens. A wonderful little specimen of these Canadian classics.
