Item Description
Classic American material, but a special example: Beautiful neon-green fluorescence is a bonus on this wildly sculptural small cabinet chalcedony specimen from near Deming, New Mexico. The fantastic banded, translucent, pretty pastel-pink chalcedony with waxy luster looks like a pair of dramatically skewed "lips". A rounded botryoidal "tongue" of creamy chalcedony pokes out from the center of the piece. The surreal piece reminds me of and bears a resemblance to the famous Rolling Stones Tongue and Lips logo of the 1970s. These are rarely on the market and this is an exceptionally biomorphic example.
