Item Description

Snow-white spherical clusters of tiny acicular picropharmacolite crystals, a rare complex hydrated arsenate richly cover all sides of this rich example from the Josef Vajdak Collection, a noted Czech specialist. The piece also contains much white brassite, a rare hydrated Mg-arsenate, for which the Jachymov District is the Type Locality. Some of the brassite also pseudomorphs rosslerite, another rare hydrated Mg-arsenate according to the Vajdak label. A VERY RARE and desirable combination specimen, from the pre-eminent Czech collection assembled by Vajdak, as MINDAT does not list any these species for this historic old mine.
