Item Description
Phosphosiderite is an uncommon hydrated Fe-phosphate and this phosphate-rich pegmatite is well-known for excellent examples. Tis is a VERY rich specimen with deeply colored crystals of large size, and on a displayable matrix. The sculptural vug in quartz matrix hosts aesthetically set lustrous, and translucent, rose-pink crystals to 1.0 cm. Collecting at this quarry is now strictly prohibited. Ex two German collections, one with a 1963 date and an East Coast collection. Seldom on the market in this quality today. valued $900-1000
