Item Description

Phosgenite specimens from the Monteponi Mine are a European classic. A very glassy, nearly transparent, 1.1 x 1.1 x 0.7 cm prismatic crystal is aesthetically set in a sheltered vug atop mostly scintillating, microcrystalline, galena ore matrix. The smaller crystals behind the large one are pristine, with a broken crystal noted in the front. This remains a very showy, highly representative combination example of the species and famous locale.
