A sharp, gemmy, prismatic 1.8 cm, semi-transparent, glassy Phosgenite crystal is very aesthetically set on 3-dimensional Galena matrix with smaller Phosgenite crystals on this excellent old-time specimen from the famous Monteponi Mine on Sardinia. A classic and textbook specimen. Ex Dr. Mauer Collection (Munich), and comes with an older Pala Collector label. A historic specimen from what is arguably the most famous Phosgenite locality in the world. The recent article in the Mineralogical Record details this amazing locality, and specimens like this are not common on the market. Priced at $1800.
