Item Description

Phoenicochroite is a rare lead chromate. Lustrous, bright brick-red phoenicochroite richly coats both sides of the rhyolite matrix on this excellent piece. Very rich and rarely available older material from an uncommon Arizona locale. Older material, as the label lists this obscure mine as the only US location. MINDAT lists multiple Arizona localities currently.
