Phlogopite (highly fluorescent) (ex Obodda)

Item Description

Gem quality Mica species are very difficult to obtain from any locality. The gem Phlogopites from Afghanistan that came on the market a few years ago are some of the best quality crystals for the species that I have seen. This particular feautres a 4.5 cm long crystal group which is very sharp and gemmy with a rich golden honey color on white marble matrix. A smaller WATER CLEAR Phlogopite can be seen on the side of the piece. The quality of the Phlogopite is very good for this locality, and these specimens are not nearly as obtainable as they were just a few years ago, so don't miss out.
