Item Description

Gem quality Mica species are very difficult to obtain from any locality. The gem Phlogopites from Afghanistan that came on the market a few years ago are some of the best quality crystals for the species that I have seen. This particular feautres a few crystals which are very sharp and lustrous with a rich golden honey color and are nearly GEM quality, measuring up to 1.5 cm on white marble matrix. The quality of the Phlogopite is very good for this locality, and these specimens are not nearly as obtainable as they were just a few years ago, so don't miss out. A small blue spot was discovered on the piece as well, perhaps something like Sodalite or Hauyne (Lazurite). The Phlogopite is also strongly fluorescent! Enjoy
