Item Description
Gem quality Mica species are very difficult to obtain from any locality. The gem Phlogopites from Afghanistan that came on the market a few years ago are some of the best quality crystals for the species that I have seen. This particular feautres a few crystals which are very sharp, highly lustrous, bright golden honey color and GEM quality, measuring up to 1.1 cm on white marble matrix. The piece also has rarely seen associations of deep blue Lazurite, and ligther blue Sodalite, metallic Pyrite, and colorless, gemmy crystals of Gypsum(?). The quality of the Phlogopite is very good for this locality, and these specimens are not nearly as obtainable as they were just a few years ago, so don't miss out. This material is also strongly fluorescent! Enjoy
