Item Description

An aesthetic and eye-catching example of this relatively uncommon copper, zinc arsenate. Dozens of attractive, emerald green spherical aggregates of Philipsburgite sit on an attractive pair of "rabbit-ear"-shaped Quartz crystals. The Black Pine Mine is the type locality for Philipsburgite, and some of the best, most attractive and striking specimens of the species are found here. I have photographed the Philipsburgite "spheres" under the microscope to better illustrate their quality. There is a small, layered, soft green colored crystal group of the specimen as well, possibly Kipushite? One of the very few pieces of the material that I have offered, especially on attractive Quartz crystal matrix.
