Item Description
Phenakite specimens are rare from this obscure beryl depost in Minas Gerais and this is an outstanding floater example from the Matioli Collection. The sharp, doubly terminated, glassy and gemmy, colorless, translucent crystal with frosted faces is pristine. Interestingly, one side of the flattened trigonal rhomb is flat, while the other face has raised faces. Pristine. An exceptional rarity of the species and locale. 27 grams mass. Valued $750
